So I made myself a dress, and it was supposed to be more like
a shirt dress, but when I went to try it on, it wouldn't go over
my shoulders... oh well, attempt number one didn't happen
maybe I'll try again sometime... This one is going to a good
friend I have who's young and small, hopefully it's not too big!

you know what I discovered is the perfect solution to having something be fitted, but will still fit over your hips or shoulders without adding a zipper? Elastic. Best.thing.ever... you can either get some elastic thread and put it on your bobbin and sow a seam around the waist, or get an elastic band and sow it around the waste. That way is stretches out when you put in on, but then it shrinks back down to fit your waste :)

genious... hahah yeah I've thought about it, but I've not had time to go and buy and and I really was in a sewing mood at the moment, so yeah, but I will have to go get some for the next time i'm in a sewing mood and really want it to fit this time! ahha!
